Dear Chairman and Commissioners,
My name is Anthony Sims, and I'm writing to you from Minnesota regarding the Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Prediction Markets, as published in 91 FR 12516. Im not a lawyer or a finance expert, just a regular person who actively trades on platforms like Kalshi. Ive got strong feelings about this, and while I think prediction markets have serious issues and can be a real problem for society if left unchecked, I believe they should be regulated carefully.
Ill be blunt. I think these markets can be a cancer on society if theyre not handled right. People can get hooked, and the potential for manipulation or insider abuse is real.
