Dear Chairman and Commissioners,
My name is Joe Shmo, and I'm a sports gambler from New York. I've been trading on prediction markets like Kalshi for a while now, mostly focusing on sports-related contracts. I'm writing to comment on the Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Prediction Markets (91 FR 12516) because Kalshi is literally just a sportsbook, ran by people who are gaslighting the public and/or themselves.
I strongly believe the current landscape the CFTC allows Kalshi to serve as a sportsbook in insane and will be reversed by the Supreme Court when (not if) it gets there.
There is a long track of Tarek and Luana lying to the public. They recently said kalshis sports volume share is at an all time low, after reclassifying sports parlays as exotics and removing them from sports. Luana also talked about $25M block trades or some large volume occurring very frequently, then the company announced its first block trades a few weeks later.
Everybody knows this is sports gambling in an unfair legal forum and it will get proven as such eventually. Your actions Depend on if you want to look insane in a few years when people review this situation and who the professionals were leading.
