The prediction markets need strong regulations and it is a way around the gambling regulations. One shouldn't be able to pick and choose what laws apply and what don't, if State laws don't allow then end of story. As a woman who should be able to chose my right to choose my healthcare, we are told up to every state to decide what you can and can not do. Then along comes prediction markets, now being told not up to state to say if lawful or not. So, kalshi with more money can buy influence to dictate how prediction markets should go without any stringent regulations. Where is anti money laundering, knowing your customer, where is money coming from, transparency and Title 31 financial regulations and all that in entails? It is gambling and should be treated as such. There isn't any guardrails in place to ensure kids can't place a bet in the market setup, we all have tech savvy young people, how you going to protect them? You can't change rule in middle of the game follow the rules and quit trying to bend them for people who have already more money than most of us and start doing your jobs to protect the rest of the us who aren't rich, it is GAMBLING!
