Prediction markets are, prima fascie, dangerous. They, at best, feed into gambling addiction and, at worst, cause people to monetize cruelty. It is the height of foolishness to think that people are not using these markets to either launder money or to make money on what could be quaintly called "insider trading." At an absolute minimum, this endangers individuals' humanity, while offering all-but-guaranteed suffering on humanity as a whole. I am adamantly against this in general, but especially as something that can exist with no guardrails.
