Prediction Markets are gambling, plain and simple, and should be regulated as such. This has a direct impact on people's lives, and can be used by anyone with money to manipulate outcomes. Insider trading is rampant, and seems to be baked into thr model of many of these sites, like Klarna and Polimarket. These kinds of damaging systems should be highly regulated, if not outlawed. Already, people are attempting to use them to bet on and influence elections, including several senatorial candidates betting on their own campaigns. Protect Americans and put a stop to this.
