Allowing prediction market sites such as Polymarket to run with effectively zero restrictions on who can participate and what is considered ‘insider trading’, sets a dangerous precedent in the political sphere. Operatives within the government who have authority are allowed to make bets on decisions they themselves make, and turn a profit as a result.
Such corruption cannot be allowed to continue within the United States government if integrity is to be restored.
