I don't think it needs to be said, but literally allowing for betting to worm its way into every facet of our already overly financialized lives might not be the best idea. There's no need to invent concepts like 'Event Contracts' when everyone can clearly see this for what it is. I have no doubt this will go nowhere and I'm screaming into the proverbial void, but it's better than sitting quietly as our current administration finds yet another way of doing irreparable harm to the social fabric.
