Just shut the whole thing down.
It's obviously just gambling. No reason to pretend otherwise. Even at that, it's a poorly set up system where the only people who make money are those with insider information or enough wealth to manipulate it.
It also doesn't take a genius to understand the general negative effects this has on a society when everyone is financially incentivized to affect the outcomes of politics, war, and all the other oddball stuff on those sites. Even if it is regulated, this does not go away.
For once, stop listening to the lobbyists and do what's right for the general population, not the wealthy corporations trying to extract every penny they can from the pockets of everyday Americans.
