The prediction market, as it is set up currently, is very corruptable and begs for inside knowledge betting and or change in outcomes due to the bet prediction.
This is harmful in many ways down the road. Firstly we have very political bets happening that could sway someones decision to do or not do something because of the money riding on it. This could lead to dangerous outcomes. People betting on the next forrest fire could lead to people aetting forrest fires. Betting on the winner of some election but what is the oppenent is killed, someone wins big.
There has to be strict regulations with this, so things like this dont happen.
Already there has been insider knowledge on iran bets where people made millions. This has only just started.
