We need to curb these poly markets. They add nothing of value to our economy, and cause huge problems. Gambling can be addictive and destructive. Turning major world events into opportunities to gamble and make money is perverse especially when people may suffer from the world events. To win $100 in a bet that some flood will kill villagers in Bangledesh is disgusting and evil. Also, these markets suck money away from the powerless and concentrate it in the hands of the powerful, this is not the direction our country should move.
