Prediction Markets, as they are so called, are harmful to both the individual and to society as a whole. While the owners of the Market sites claim their service is not gambling, it still functions very much as a bet, a gamble, a wager as people put forth their own money to predict the outcome of some event, whether that event is roulette or acts of terror, the action of those wagering is the same. If gambling in casinos is regulated, so should gambling on war, elections, disasters.
