Prediction markets have already proven to be detrimental to citizens across the United States. People have already lost so much money on vague, rigged, or unfair outcomes. These markets should be heavily regulated, if not outright banned. It's only a matter of time before an unfavorable outcome on a prediction leads to violence. It's much easier to contain, oversee, and regulate more niche gambling activities such as casinos, sports betting, cards, races, and the stock market.
For the sake of our collective finances, mental and physical health, and the fabric of our social society, please consider prohibiting prediction market betting or, at the very least, heavily regulating it.
