People are betting on the outcomes of things like drone strikes on these platforms. I don't think this is good for society, and I think that it's making something that's already pretty addictive and corrosive socially speaking (gambling) even worse. The rich are already gaming these markets so they can get richer, all at the expense of all the ordinary people who have gotten swindled into making bets on their platforms. Prediction markets should be outlawed completely.
