I do not want to live in a world where literally every decision is subject to insider trading. Polymarket and Kalshi are corruption-producing machines. We've already seen several cases where people who know the outcome of events ahead of time go and bet on them in one of these markets and come away thousands of dollars richer - simply because of their unfair advantage. We already know that 70% of the money made by users of these markets goes to 0.4% of the users.

I do not want to live in a world where someone can wish and hope that these markets become regulated or collapse, but cynically believe that they won't and bet money on it. I don't want people to become financially incentivized to act against their own wishes and interests.

I don't want to live in a world that calculates the odds of something happening based upon how much money is betting that it will. I don't want to live in a world where politicians can influence the popular opinion of their odds of winning by betting money on themselves - thus getting other people to believe that they're the safe bet and put their own money down. And then vote for them, because they have a vested financial interest in that politician winning, whether or not they believe the politician will be good for the people.

I don't want to live in a world where such naked greed and corruption is allowed to flourish while the citizens of the richest country in the world are so clearly suffering from artificial scarcities.

Please help this world be one that I want to live in. Turn off the corruption machine.
