Prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket are dangerous to society and should be banned. Despite their denials, it is clearly gambling. I don't believe people should be able to gamble through their phones and computers at all, as it is predatory and addictive. Commercials for predictive markets/ gambling apps have been allowed on video and music media for children and addicts to be subjected to, despite high potential for harm. These markets are manipulable, skewed in favor of rich and powerful people, and have the potential to entice harmful behavior within the political sphere, in sports and in public. Ban them now.
