Prediction marketing makes richer people get away with scamming people out of their money. Its also dangerous for making mental health conditions worse, with the combined dangers of gambling with day to day lives. This will cause more problems than any good coming out of it. I can't think of a single thing that would be beneficial to society, if we continue to let prediction markets open.
