Predictive markets will not regulate themselves. Polymarket placing bets on whether or not the soldiers shot down in Iran would survive is completely unacceptable. The ability for powerful people to direct the outcome of bets they place, and bets placed on the killing of foreign leaders, makes this an immoral and unsustainable method of gambling. It should be entirely illegal to place bets on whether or not someone survives something. The industry needs to be regulated.
