The CFTC needs to approve prediction markets providers’ applications, aa long aa all necessary and relevant information is submitted. This regulatory body has the authority to better govern these types of markets, and it needs to override the current patchwork of regulations coming from the states.
Like any market, it is best for consumers if it is legal and regulated, uniformly. The CFTC would best serve the public by allowing any prediction market providers that meet the required criteria, and letting the customers determine which suit their needs.
