We as a society have accepted that people benefiting from insider trading is the stock market and in gambling is not in the best interest of society and have since band the practice. Prediction markets are not that different from stocks or gambling Prediction market companies even poise themself by advertising saying it is just like trading stocks. If they advertise that they are like stocks then they should be regulated similarly and held to similar standards. There is evidence that suggests people in positions of power in the government trade based on national security information which seems like a threat to the United State's national security. Furthermore we should want to prevent prediction markets from influencing government decision. This could easily happen and decisions could be made to profit individuals rather than have decisions made for the best direction of the country.
Please require prediction markets to be regulated similar to either stock or gambling laws.
